i will go first.....

i have begun packing, but still need to finish...

-i got a new back pack. this one is medium size, so its a little bigger then my hydration pack that i had at the 15 item event.
- i also bought a 10x10 Nylon tarp to use as a fly for my Hammock.
-i made a new custom knife that i will bring, and a new Ferro rod that i put a handle on as well.
- i bought 100' of Neon Yellow paracord for tying off my tarp, and other projects.
- i bought new straps for my Hammock set up. they are lighter and stronger then the paracord set up i had last time.

i am hoping to learn some new knots, and be able to identify some wild edibles.

Sarah is coming this weekend! We will have her give a fire building demo and see how she fares.

She has been learning over the last year with me. She taught several adults in January who were having trouble getting their fire going. It's all in the prep!

Sarah will also be taking pictures for the event. AND it will be her first hang!

I'm bringing my home made bushchair made from duck cloth. Sarah will be bringing her Walmart 5x7 tarp to make a bush chair from.

A GI poncho will suffice as well. Though I WAS planning on bringing it for dual purpose, I left it out in favor of a drum liner and my bushchair. I made it like 6 months ago and other than a couple of demo's have not brought it out into the field. So time to use it.

Here is the prototype made from an old drop cloth I had. Double layer with an opening so it could be used for a mattress stuffed with natural material, backpack / bag.

My fat a$$ tore out the loops that tie to the front legs. The new one I ran a channel for a 2" wide webbing strap to tie off with.

Frowny face because it's hard to get the camera set up without a tripod. I have several, just too lazy to walk 20 steps to get it! LOL Shocked

The ONLY thing I don't like about theses chairs, can't wear my hat because the back comes up high and tight.

I do not have tons of experience with the bush chairs, but so far I am not a fan (let the stoning begin haha).

I hope you guys have fun without me and my bread. Wish I could be there more than you know.

The bush chairs were comfortable, more so than the logs...
Your bread was surely missed, but Jamie made up some of his to make up for it.
