April 21st-22nd, 2012 Intro Weekend Course

We will be meeting in the parking lot of the Port Huron State Game Area at 9am. We will assemble gear and supplies for the weekend and then hike in about 3/4 of a mile to the campsite.

We will be introducing new falks to camping in a bushcraft style camp with minimal gear. All are welcome to join us for the weekend. This is a good opportunity to bring the kids for a campout.
Supplies for a few small projects will be provided. All other gear is supplied by participants.

I am looking forward to this event! I kinda wish there was one sooner though, I am itching to get out into the woods.

Don't forget the bug repellant! The mozzies were already taking control of the woods ealier this month, it's going to be a bad year for them.

I am bringing some tools to work on some camp furniture this weekend. An axe, saw and maybe an auger. Hopefully the local won't destry the furniture as we will be leaving it there for all to enjoy.

I won't release the info of where just yet as we won't know until after Monday evening. But if we get permission, it is going to be so AWESOME!

I will keep an eye out. Is it a possibe that we will be there for the april meet up? I am guessing so since you posted it under this topic.

Are we still and the PHSGA?

So far we are still holding this course at the Port Huron State Game Area. I doubt we will have all the duck in a row for the new location for a couple of months yet.

I can't make this one as I have a calender conflict was hoping the other would fall apart .

I will be with the campfire spirts at nights.
But smelling exhaust during the days.

Sorry to hear that. I think though you will get more from the Basic's Course anyhow. This weekend will just be more or less a gathering.
